Being Real. The Mindset of Caring People. (🇬🇧)

This keynote explores the history of a 132-year-old factory in Oslo to illustrate the values of mastery, genuine care, and trust-building, inspiring you to become a better team player, mentor, and leader who fosters greatness in others.

Summary
In the middle of Oslo there is a 132 years old factory now protected as cultural heritage. As it turns out, its history still teaches us a great deal about mastery and excellence. In this talk we’ll go back in time and walk through the gates of the now abandoned factory, and we’ll see throughout the talk how its history connects with Dervis’ own story. We’ll then use this story as a foundation to understand what it means to deeply care and how to communicate in a way that builds trust. You will understand what means to be genuine and real, and why that makes you a better team player. Dervis, formerly a developer, will then explain how you can apply these ideas to be a better mentor, a leader or even a role model for those around you. Making great products means we need great people. Be the person that makes great people.

Price I offer this keynote completely free for companies, organizations, and groups when donating to a humanitarian cause.

Here’s how it works:

  1. You choose who you’d like to support (preferably Doctors Without Borders, Engineers Without Borders, the Norwegian Refugee Council, or NerdAid),
  2. You choose the language (Norwegian or English) and how long I should speak (anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours),
  3. We discuss your organization and audience, decide what you want more or less of.

Contact me if that sounds interesting. I’ll respond as soon as I can.

The keynote is meant to inspire and remind that it’s possible to create products with masterful execution and achieve outstanding results while taking care of the people around you.
